The Job
Working as part of a small team and reporting to the Pump Sales Director, you will be responsible for providing customers with quotations for appropriate products and services, by means of pump selection and the identification of parts.
Key Tasks
Responding to technical enquiries for pumps, parts and repairs.
Providing solutions to the customer specification.
Generating and following up quotations.
Negotiating prices with customers and suppliers.
Purchasing pumps and parts.
Progress chasing purchases and confirmed sales to agreed timescales.
Logging events on the company database.
Liaising with the Workshop Supervisor when calculating the time and material content of repairs.
Liaising with External Sales Engineers.
Experience, Skills and Qualifications
Technical knowledge and experience in pump selection.
Manufacturing process awareness.
Communication skills, interpersonal, oral and written.
A qualification in mechanical engineering would be advantageous.
Training
Pump manufacturers provide training and support to assist in pump selection.
A personal development programme is tailored to the needs of the individual.
Salary
Competitive salary, dependant upon experience and qualifications and a monthly paid bonus based upon the sales achieved by the pump team.

NPS specialises in the design and suppy of equipment used in the treatment of water and wastewater. NPS are seeking to recruit an experienced Project Engineer to complement their existing team. Working within the company's Systems Division and reporting to the Projects Manager, the successful candidate will work as part of a team committed to ensuring that projects are managed and executed to specification, on time, within budget as well as encompassing the technical and commercial aspects of high value contracts.
Job Summary
Involved in the design and management of mechanical/electrical schemes, predominately for the water treatment industry.
Main duties include
• Outline engineering from inception to completion of schemes utilising in-house resources
• The timely completion of concurrent projects, safely and within budget
• Attend internal and external review and progress meetings
• Make site visits and produce reports
• Ascertain preliminary and detailed design/project requirements and solutions
• Provide estimates and quotations
• Complete contract documentation
• Manage on-site safety, health and environmental issues
• Liaise with and co-ordinate suppliers, specialist sub-contractors,
in-house functions, site installation and construction teams
• Procure materials, plant and specialist contractors
• Attend/undertake factory testing, site testing, commissioning and client trainng
• Compile and collate final contract documentation, 'as built' drawings, test sheets, component supplier information and procure Operation and Maintenance Manuals
• Establish and agree price and/or time variations with the client
• Account for and take responsibility for profit/loss on contracts undertaken
Qualifications and Experience
• Degree/HND/ONC in an engineering discipline
• Electrical bias would be beneficial
• Proficient in the use of MS packages

Candidates should be based in the Midlands, or within easy access to the sales territory, that stretches from the south of Manchester, through Derby, Nottingham and Leicester and into Birmingham.
The main role is to sell a range of pump types, rotary lobe, air operated diaphragm, helical rotor and centrifugal to process industry users.
In addition, to sell the in-house workshop facility for pump repair and maintenance, that includes a 'clean room' environment to satisfy the hygiene needs of food and pharmaceuticals manufacturers.
